After a light lunch and a walk around, ChaosCentral's mind has returned to the Ceili dancing that is happening right now!!  Very spirited playing from the musicians is assisting the teams in performing their best!

Today, all the activity is in Arena 1

Except that it isn't at the moment - the competition in running early, as it has almost all week.  This affords the opportunity for a 45 minute lunch break which is being taken now.  Therefore the remaining teams will compete a little later and ChaosCentral will take its mind out for a walk :)

Sunday, too far away

ChaosCentral was awoken this morning by an iDevice that believes daylight saving exists in QLD.  Luckily, ChaosCentral is smarter than an iDevice and so went back to sleep.  Anecdotal evidence from the venue suggests that dozens, if not a hundred others did not go back to sleep, and so arrived at the venue bright and early....one hour too early, to be precise :)

Having recovered from yesterday's sturm and drang, ChaosCentral arrived at the sumptuous CastleChaos Production Facility to find it abandoned - casting our eagle eye about the scene, as far as we could see, we couldn't see anyone at all.  So today's LiveCommentary, photography and results could be the result of a single deranged imagination (as per usual).

LiveCommentary may be a little (more) erratic during the day as commenting on teams is rather like discussing the sartorial differences of penguins clustering at the South Pole.  However, there may be photos!

Saturday draws to a close....

The final solos have been competed and won, and Sunday is teams day, ceili day and rest and relax day - but not for ChaosCentral who will continue to provide a somewhat erratic service until the Nationals After-Party (also known as the ceili) is finished!

Once again, todays shambles wouldn't have come to you without the assistance of the following suspects:

• Theapatra Ross, whose photography is improving by the day and is now allowed to play with real film - or at least to take really important photos, like the winners :)
• Aisling O'Brien, whose insightful comments during the day will have kept you all in stitches, and certainly without her, none of you would have the results as she types them in as well as checking them....
• Bianca Nicholls, who learned that being a presenter on IDTV is not as scary as it seems
• And to Katie Smith, who did the final presentations of the day when Bianca Nicholls learned that being a presenter on IDTV was more scary than it seemed.

Later tonight the photos will be available as well as the interviews with the winning teams....stay tuned.

The Junior Ladies and Men 17 years have been called to the marshalling area to prepare for results, which will commence as soon as we have all the dancers!

The Mixed Open Age 4 Hand Choreography teams have now finished, meaning that the dancing is complete for the day! Results for the 17 years sections and the Open Age 4 Hands will  commence ASAP in Arena 1

Feis Update

The Junior Ladies 17 Years set dance round is now complete. The competition is now continuing with the Open Age Four Hand Choreography. Results for these 2 sections are scheduled for 9.00pm

And with competitor 121 on stage currently we are nearing the completion of the set dance round for the Junior Ladies 17 years.  After a short break we will continue on with the final sections for the days dancing, the open age four hand choreography.
