Feis update!
ChaosCentral will have a guest commentator entering the results for the final section of the day. That means that the results will be more timely :)
And a big thanks to Karen Heggie who provided, via USB, the results for today's middle two sections - that relieved ChaosCentral from having to type them in by hand as the guest commentator had made good their escape....

Open Age Mixed teams now dancing
They will be followed by the Own Choreography, then the Senior Figures, then presentations.
The hall has become lively :)
Several times, the announcer has called for quiet - the audience responded by generally ignoring the request. Then, an adjudicator turned around and asked, quite loudly, that the audience be quiet. Again, this was largely ignored. Not a good look for NSW.....
Under 19 & Open teams are now dancing
And of course, the hall crowd has diminished noticeably, which is a pity as people are missing out on some of the best ceili dancers in Australia.

Technology update
The Optus signal is so low and unreliable that I have killed the LiveCam for the day and switched to my private Telstra service for connectivity. This means that LiveCommentary will work quickly but trying to stream LiveCam will use all my internet allowance :)

They will be followed by the Two Hand Mixed, then the Intermediate Figure, then presentations.

Feis update
The hall is full of young, enthusiastic dancers, many of whom are competing in their first Ceili Championship. Our roving reporter suggests that the queue for the coffee line was so long, that she advanced an age group whilst waiting.
On the other hand, they are serving real coffee and good food - this venue has always been a favourite of ChaosCentral as they will serve good coffee at any hour of the day.
The dancing is progressing nicely, with the teams moving through their routines on time and with great vigour.
