The city is alive with blue and white balloons, streamers and ribbons everywhere - who would have thought that they were such big supporters of the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs. Kevin Moore and the rest of the family must be so pleased that support extends this far south.
Sorry, I was just informed that apparently the festivities are because of some other type of game and that the local team here did quite well...but in all seriousness, the Geelong Cats are the AFL Premieres and Geelong is absolutely going off!! It is cold, windy and drizzly and that appears the forecast for the rest of the week, but there will be no diminution of the excitement between the AFL Premiership parade and festivities and the ID National Championships.
Later today, your correspondent will be going to the venue and checking it out - seeing of there is somewhere that can be used for live commentary. Check in later today for an update.
