Gourmet food report

It has been a treat-filled morning for ChaosCentral, all in the course of providing up-to-date information for the dear readers :)

The tea is hot and strong (or weak if one takes out the tea-bag too early) and feedback suggest the coffee is.   Toasted cheese and ham sandwiches are excellent, as are the hot dogs.  Chocolate crackles not sighted, but there is a rumour of their later arrival.

Winter has arrived in Sydney!  A chilly and slightly damp morning greets us at Cranebrook High School, the hall is filling with dancers and their families...there is no heating in the hall so, bring your own portable warmth!

The canteen is open and tea, coffee, toasted sandwiches and cakes are available to help appease the hunger pangs.

The dancing venue has become much less crowded than before and the atmosphere is almost laid back.

Well, ChaosCentral has been rather busy taking photos outside the dancing hall and typing results by hand; we are now back in the dancing hall and intend to remain here until the competition ends.

Welcome to the 2015 Easter Feis

And welcome to soggy Sydney, nowhere near as bad as Northern NSW or SE QLD, but wet and grey and not so nice :(

We are at the Penrith Gaels, a venue always warm and welcoming, and in the process of setting-up for a wonderful day's dancing.  The Easter Feis is one of Sydney's oldest competitions, with trophies dating back to the early 1970s.  There is a lot of history here!

Our adjudicator is Charmaine May ADCRG (NSW) and music is by computer.

Due to the unexpected collapse of the AIDA NSW audio system (amplifier connections dead and broken) we are using Miss Jan's Christmas present amplifier, set-up by the Sutton's;  it is working a treat!
