And the cafe is now open!  The 13 Years & Over and milling around in the practice area, and in the cafe, and in the hall, all getting ready to go!

Another feis update

Whilst we were out photographing presentations, dancers were having a wonderful time on stage.  We are still running on time and the competition has taken a particularly Irish flavour, with the weather bureau issuing a storm and heavy rain warning for the area :)

Feis update

The 6 (Primary to Open), 7, 8 & 9 Years (Intermediate/Open) has just finished, exactly on time.

The 10, 11 & 12 Years are now marshalling and will start soon...

Marshalling continues….and the hall is very full too!

All teachers called to the stage!!!

In a surprise to everyone, Miss Jan just made an urgent call for all teachers to come to the stage immediately!!

She then had them stand on the stage and introduced them to all the dancers and parents, so that everyone could see the teachers who were once wonderful dancers.

A great idea for many of the young dancers who may not realise that their teachers were once beginner dancers, just like them :)

Marks are being tabulated, coffee ordered and once the two components have had time to work, presentations will commence.

We are running right on time, with the 6 (Primary to Open), 7, 8 & 9 Years (Intermediate/Open) about to start.

 Presentations for these age groups will be some time after 10 outside the dancing hall and the dancing in the next age groups will commence in parallel to the presentations :)

Welcome to the 2013 4 Provinces Feis

Today we are at the final feis, in Sydney, for 2013.  A cool and wet spring day greets us at the Penrith Gaels Club, but the place is full of Irish spirit and warmth.

After a slightly slow start this morning, caused by technology problems related to music rather than computers, we are at last underway with the smallest and youngest dancers.  Our feis details are:

• 9am – 4 and 5 Years (all sections) & 6 Years (Beginners only)
• 10am – 6 Years (Primary to Open); 7 & 8Years (all sections); 9 Years Intermediate/Open
• 11.30am – 9 Years (Beginners, Primary & Elementary); 10, 11 & 12 Years (all sections)
• 1 pm – 13 years and Over (all sections)

Our adjudicator is Elizabeth Lewis ADCRG (NSW) and music is by computer :)
