Main Arena Floor Update

The main arena floor is being adjusted by WIN Arena staff. ChaosCentral understands that AIDA Australia contracted a third-party to build and maintain the flooring used for the competition and it is up to that third party to meet dancing requirements. We further understand that AIDA have been trying to get the flooring corrected and *has* fulfilled a duty-of-care, but the third party has been unable to meet those requirements.

That means, please don't try to assign any fault to AIDA, they have done there best but been let down by a third party - think of the recent Virgin Blue meltdown, where a third party provider failed to do the right thing.

Seniors are continuing there second round in the recall arena.

Due to OH&S concerns, dancing on the stage in the main arena has been suspended mid section. Once recalls have finished in the recall hall, the remainder of the senior section will dance in the recall hall.

The Arena has become a paparazzi paradise!! Apart from ChaosCentral providing photos to www.swoose.net, there are now 2 ABC3/TV Ireland film crews, WinkiPop Media and now the WIN Arena Official Photographer, all recording the event for fun and profit!

Other senior dancers are beginning to filter into the arena, and some 16 Years & 17 Years, due to dance tomorrow, are watching the senior dancers.

The stage is being swept again and some other adjustments are being made to it.

The arena is very quiet, but dancers are getting good applause when they finish.

The stage is being swept and there is a short break in proceedings - time for a coffee run - or a chocolate crackle hunt. Ladies 20 Years will be onstage soon.

The senior age groups are the peak of Irish Dancing experience and an inspiration to younger dancers - it is a pity that the main hall is so sparsely populated and that the younger dancers aren't able to see the level that they may attain over time.......

19 & 20 Years sections will run together, all sections will do their first round following each other, then their second round then recalls.
