Behind the scenes

Posted by Picasa

And now we have sound on LiveCam

ChaosCentral has expanded the technology ecosystem to now include three cameras, a dedicated wireless network to run it, and additional scope for technical failures :)

In the real world, the 9 Years are dancing their hard shoe first round, three at a time on stage.  There is a long queue of dancers along the side of the hall, waiting their turn to dance, and keeping warm by doing the steps while they wait.

Minor Girls have been called to marshalling

In the 9 Years section, there are 35 dancers competing for the Paddy Whelan Memorial Trophy and the Halloran Family Tiara.

In the 10 Years section, there are 21 dancers competing for the Irish National Association (INA) Perpetual Trophy and the MF Bird Tiara.

The last dancer has just left the stage...

What a wonderful weekend of dancing, and, as I have been informed by a native speaker, feile means festival - and that is what we had this weekend, a festival of fine dance :)

Results will be next - stay tuned!

12 Years in marshalling - the final section for the day!!

Gourmet Food update

ChaosCentral just received a wonderful gift of two cupcakes and, purely in the interests of research, devoured on immediately - it was wonderful.  The second will be kept for a reserve tasting ion the drive back to Sydney.  Thanks Charlotte :)

Revenge of the technology!!!

A dancer has supplied their set on a iPod - for some reason, as well as playing the music, it insists on announcing the genre/category in a beautiful synthesised voice :)  One of the options, apart from "Dance Music", was "Hamish & Andy" - would love to see someone dance to that :)

10 Years have been called to marshalling for their sets.
